The Kickstart scheme is specifically designed for those aged between 16 and 24, who are currently claiming Universal Credit, and may be at risk of long-term unemployment. The scheme aims to give young people a stepping stone into future employment and will provide many jobs over the next two years.
Kickstart jobs will be in the form of paid work placements within a wide range of sectors lasting six months. These opportunities aim to help young people build up their skills and experience levels, and can act as a route towards securing further employment. This is an invaluable opportunity to gain sector specific work experience and start that journey towards an exciting career!
